What To See At The Visitors’ Center

The Christus Room

A stunning rotunda featuring a replica of Thorvaldsen’s Christus with the 12 of the original apostles as found in the Church of Our Lady in Copenhagen, Denmark. The rotunda features an original curving mural by Joseph Brickey of an Italian countryside with rays of sunlight accenting the Christus.

The Villa

A cozy replica of a traditional Italian home provides the perfect setting to talk with friendly volunteers, ask questions, or ponder the importance of family and gathering in God’s plan.

Temple Model

One of only five temple models in the world, this scale replica shows the inside of the temple where members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints perform sacred ordinances and make promises with God. Volunteers will explain the ordinances and symbolism of each room.

Stained Glass

View the stunning original “Come Unto Me” stained glass created by Tom and Gayle Holdman and their art studio. At first glance, the work appears to be a single scene of Jesus Christ and His disciples, but closer inspection reveals more than 100 visual references to the Savior’s mortal time on earth and symbols from each of His New Testament parables.

Take A Free Tour

Feel free to just come by and walk around on your own. But please also know that we would love to help you enjoy an in-person guided tour with one of our friendly volunteers, or book a virtual tour to learn some insights about the beautiful art featured in the visitors’ center, the purpose of temples, and answer any questions. Advanced scheduling is not required for in-person visitors.
