The reason why years have been dedicated to constructing these marvelous structures throughout the globe is to worship. Temples are places of peace, rest, and spiritual growth.

The temples of today follow the same suit. In modern temples, members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints make covenants, or holy two-way promises with God to follow Him in every aspect of their lives. They ponder spiritual questions, and they also unite their families for the eternities in these beautiful buildings.
Though temples have changed throughout time, their purpose remains the same.
