Yom Kippur and the Atonement

At the closing of the series on the Jewish Temple and the Restored Temple, on Saturday, October 16, 2021, at 7:00 pm on the Rome Temple Visitor Center youtube channel, Ernesto Nudo, author of the book “Jesus Christ Savior and Redeemer”, will give a lecture on the profound meaning of the holiday of Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement of the Messiah, in relation to the Temple.
Yom Kippur, which this year falls between September 15 and 16, is the culminating holiday of Jewish worship. Jewish texts teach that it is a day when everything stops; public transportation, airports, border crossings, radio, TV, newspapers, stores.
It is a day of fasting, repentance, and reconciliation.
The central theme of the holiday is reconciliation with God and man and, therefore, it is not a sad day, but a day of joy and celebration.
